thank you, i’ll consider this the best answer as it names both dust and moisture as reasons why sunlight is blocked.

see my comment above; it’s way more efficient to read individual files out of a zip archive.
zip is better than tar.gz for some applications though.
notably, individual files can be read from a zip archive without unpacking the whole archive, different than tar.gz files.
tar.gz files are only better if you pack and unpack the whole archive at once, but even then, they don’t have much advantage. the major advantage is that you can pipe the output of tar creation over the network to another computer who decompresses the tar immediately, thus transferring a folder. zip has index at beginning/start, so it requires seek when writing or skip when reading, so it can’t be streamed.
if by left-wing you mean i think more than 3 months ahead, then yes.
isn’t the atmosphere transparent for most of the light, though? (except UV, but that gets filtered out even at the equator, so it’s the same everywhere again)
that is manual labor each time you run the script, while plotting in python re-makes the plot automatically.
the reason to make plots programmatically is typically because you’re already processing the data in python in ways that would have been too complicated if you’d do it in excel a table calculation program.
so … why isn’t living with your parents as a teenager considered “human trafficking” then?
oh yeah my dad told me his mechatronics thesis was about building a robot that has legs and moves like a spider … so, almost centipede. he told me they also looked at centipedes just for reference.
but … but what about human lefts?
“though your path may be set, you can gain as much speed down that path as you would like”
means, even if they had to go to war, they could have missed shots on purpose.
tldr
no often today we don’t know what the code is actually doing
yes this is an important problem
no nobody really seems to take it as serious as it should be taken today
no i’m not gonna change that over night
yeah true i guess
i think we just have different notions about what “art” is.
that video is from 2016 though? AI has improved significantly since then?
edit so i just watched the video, and miyazaki says it’s about believing in the abilities which we humans have, and while i agree, actually believing in technology (that humans create) does not contradict that. if anything, it might extend it.
I gotta check it out, thanks!
Timelines are actually a lot like magnetic field lines:
(you go in from the bottom)
society is like a big engine, pushing every human forward in a collective way. (this is being represented by the red part in that image. Society “squeezes” humans forward, towards the top.)
Then, after society has fully developed, it falls apart because there’s no need for its collective effort/structure/organization anymore. Everybody goes on with their own way. That’s what the spreading magnetic field lines atop the image represent. You can branch out in one of many different ways. The future, from now on, is yours. There is no more “collective normal person”, no more " adhering to the norm", just: you do you.
or just encrypt it, in case you have the technical knowledge to do that reliably.
“Left” and “right” mean very different things for different people. People can’t even agree on the definition. Just to give you a clear example: today’s “leftists” are pro-immigration, while practically all leftists before 1990 were not so much pro immigration.
I take “right” to mean authoritarian, and “left” to mean self-organizing.
