The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy film was released 19 years ago, the story itself is over 40. Dont be surprised if lots of people dont know about it lol

Yeah, people keep forgetting that kids born in 2000 are already too old for doing porn. Much less anything else.

Also don’t forget most of my generation (19) are already brainrot iPad kids. You know how hard it is to find someone that knows old movies, isn’t a right winger or just hates me? F-ing impossible. At least I have my 40yo dad for good movies. Including Lucky Number Slevin. Especially Lucky Number Slevin.

          • College was huge for me. Much more diversity in the people and better chances of making friends with mature, educated people (not to say that they don’t exist outside of college, just that the pickings were much easier/reliable)

People always told me I was going to have my brain poisoned by my gameboy, television, my computer. I turned out fine!

protip, you can watch a movie by yourself, hitchhikers is a fun little romp.

Probably never had a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster or ducked and turned to defeat a Somebody Else’s Problem Field either.

He’s lying. 42 is a secret code that refers to letters of the alphabet. It’s the fourth and second letter: DB

DB is a hidden operation in Germany. It’s a large secret society that moves huge metal objects of unknown purpose through the country. Some people have created schedules that indicate where in the country the vessels are expected to be seen - but when you arrive on site, nothing ever happens.

At this point nobody is sure what goal DB is after, but many people assume it’s to confuse and frustrate Germans to death.

I’m not making this up. DB is on Wikipedia.

They hide the actions of the DB behind official schedules, pretending it’s something you can travel with. But as soon as you try to use that, nothing ever comes and officially it’s “delayed” and then “cancelled”.
