I have a strong dislike of centipedes as well. One time years ago I had a terrible dream that a large centipede (one of those big jungle ones) was crawling all over my body. As it raced down my arm I slapped at it, with a jolt of pain my arm went instantly numb as it bit me.

I startled myself awake to realize I was laying on my arm and it had gone completely asleep and was numb. Still one of the scariest dreams I’ve ever had haha.

We just need a couple small (easy to navigate in cities, good on gas) 4wd trucks on the market. You’re basically stuck in Ford Transitsright now, which they’ve just stopped making, or buying 20yr old Mazdas and Rangers. Or being forced into the same F150s every other fleet operator has. I know the market for these vehicles exists (though demand is low) why does no manufacturer try to fill it?

The last 2 guns I bought:

Big box store, rifle: Show my ID, walk out with my rifle. The person didn’t mention any training at all though we did bullshit about guns the entire time and it’s a big box store so they just didn’t care.

Small local shop, handgun: Looked at the case, found the one I wanted, handle it, confirm I want to purchase it. They take my ID and run it through some sort of crime database confirming I’m not a violent felon. I walk out with my gun 30 minutes later. I truly don’t remember them mentioning training or safety or even ranges.

We have far less to lose than they do, I can (hypothetically) only die once but with a little luck I can extract a very high price from a rent-seeking leech before I do.

So our options are becoming:

Toil for 70 years until you’re forced to liquidate everything you have to move into a shitty retirement home or become a burden on any children you may’ve had.

Drop out of society and refuse to cooperate, facing all the consequences that entails.

Complete a single task that promises 3 meals per day, climate controlled shelter, basic healthcare and the adoration of fans across the country?

Seems like they’re making the choice easy for a lot of people.
